This is the second of a series of four graphic novels that adapts George R. R. Martin's novel of the same name. The first season of the HBO series was adapted from the same novel, but seasons 2 through 5 are adaptations of later novels in the series. (A Game of Thrones is the title of Martin's first novel, not the later books in the series.)

It seems like some of the individual smaller books have been combined and I want to try to avoid buying several books that include the same stories in them. First time reader here. I'm on page 280 of the first book. Uh you should know that there are tons of characters. The author knows this and reminds readers accordingly who everyone is. So don't get tripped up. Just read on. But pay attention to events and the "main players". It's a great read so far. 8.
